Skin Care Products of the Month

Summertime’s here and with it comes all the fun activities outside in the sun. One of the most important things to prevent skin damage and aging is protection against the UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays from the sun.  Wearing an everyday sunscreen or makeup with SPF is an excellent practice, but sometimes when you are out running around you need something you can carry in your purse to reapply as you go. Here are 4 great products that work well, look good and are easy to apply on the run!

This first product is the neatest thing! Jane Iredale’s PowderMe SPF  is a sheer powder sunscreen that comes in a cylinder with a rollout brush. It is very lightweight and can go right on top of your sunscreen or makeup, just roll it out and dust it on!

The next product on my list is a sunscreen in a compact. Skinbetter’s sunBetter Advanced Mineral Protection Tone Smart is a creamy sunscreen with an SPF of 68 and is water resistant. It is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation and comes in a sturdy (important for me anyways!) compact with a mirror.  The “Tone Smart” part of it means that it actually adjusts to your skin tone.  I also like the fact that is dermatologist tested, cruelty-free, fragrance, dye and paraben free and non-comedogenic(doesn’t cause blackheads).

The third product for our June line up is Jane Iredale LipDrink Lip Balm with a 15 SPF. It comes in some beautiful colors but feels sheer.  I think a lot of times we remember to cover our skin and overlook our lips when we are in the sun and they are important too!
