Focus on Female Entrepreneurs and Female Owned/Founded Businesses: Oak Essentials

One of the things that I wanted to accomplish when I started Art of Graceful Aging was to highlight and support businesses that were female owned/founded, businesses that had very strong positive social messages and businesses that made a big effort to be earth friendly.
I have recently discovered Oak Essentials. Oak Essentials was founded by designer Jenni Kayne in 2021. The company is an extension of her lifestyle brand and was inspired by her own desire for long term skin health. Every formula in the product line is deeply hydrating, naturally effective, and designed to support the skin as it ages. Â Every product is simply made and clean, and the fragrances are light and gentle. The collection is designed around simple daily rituals. I personally love the very light fragrances and the simplicity of the routines. Self-care that is simple yet makes me feel ultra-luxurious is what I need in this fast paced, hectic life.
In addition to the fact that Oak Essentials is female founded, there are a great deal of other things that I love about this company and their products. Â Everything from the ingredients of the products to the packaging and shipping is very environmentally friendly. The products are organic and natural in origin whenever possible. They are free from silicones, colorants, sulfates, phthalates, parabens PEGs, petrolatum, mineral oils and nanoparticles. The entire line is Cruelty free and non-GMO which is extremely important to me. They also use sustainable practice for packing. Minimal waste packaging with boxes printed with soy-based ink are made of 100% recycled materials and all new cartons are made from tree free paper. The cartons are processed chlorine free and are Green Cycle certified. Â
